The Secret Sauce is Your Story

Why Old Is Gold ๐Ÿ†

Dear Reader,

โ€‹

In my former life as a graphic designer, I was like a kid in a candy store, collecting captivating marketing samples.

I had to chuckle reading this quote.

I saved these postcards from my time working at a direct marketing agency in Peoria, IL.

It was my first REAL job in the US, and my obsession with paper was real. ๐Ÿ˜œ

The ultimate test was to see how the paper (of the postcards) fared going through the postal service.

As a designer, picking the right paper was a fine art that mattered.

These postcards tell a story with more than words; it's the choice of colors, fonts, and paper coming together to craft the narrative.

And now, as a brand storyteller, I've realized that those OLD design lessons continue to shape my approach to building a successful online business.

Here are some key takeaways that might resonate with fellow women entrepreneurs, consultants, and service providers interested in crafting their brand story:

โœจ Create Curiosity: Just as those postcards intrigued me, your brand should spark curiosity, leaving your audience eager for more.

โœจ Details Matter: The little things often make the biggest impact. Pay attention to those finer details in your branding; they can be game-changers.

โœจ Keep It Simple: Simplicity is a powerful ally. Clear, straightforward messaging resonates better with your audience.

โœจ Intentional Assembly: Crafting a compelling message in the online world is like assembling puzzle pieces intentionally to create a captivating narrative.

Incorporate these insights into your branding to captivate your audience!

Dear Reader, Yesterday, this photo popped up in my memories and made me smile. This is my son's first "cell phone."At eight or nine, he really wanted a real one, claiming all his friends had one.Sadly for him, having an Indian mom it didn't work out for him โ€“ until he got to 8th grade, but that is another story. So he took matters into his own hands and crafted one exactly how he wanted. It had all the essentials: a speed dial to connect with my husband and me and, of course, a line to J.M....
